PDF:
We prefer to receive PDF files for your artwork. If you are using a Windows computer and are using a program that does not output high quality PDF files such as the Adobe Creative Suite, we recommend using a free PDF writer called PrimoPDF. It installs on your computer like a printer. From the original program, choose 'PRINT' from the file menu. Choose the PrimoPDF printer and make sure it is set for high quality PDF. PrimoPDF will then produce a PDF that you can send to us via email or the website for printing. If you are sending us a PDF file, we require a hard copy in order to make sure no fonts or images were dropped.
BLEEDS:
If your printed piece bleeds off the edge of the paper, create the file 1/8 inch larger on all sides. For instance, if you are creating a business card that bleeds on all four sides with a final size of 2 x 3.5, send a 1-up card measuring 2.25 x 3.75 and allow margin for cutting. No crop marks are necessary.
FONTS:
Whenever possible, turn all fonts to outlines or paths in your page layout program before sending. If that is not possible, please include a folder with all the fonts used in the piece.
PHOTOS:
Any photos should be sent at their final size and have a resolution of 300 dots per inch (dpi). This will assure high quality output.
